I love what you're doing! At first glance the top picture looked like a row of rustic buildings in a small village. In the second photo it looks like an arrow pointing you up and right, urging you to do more and more and more with these wood pieces.

I love it!

interesting angela...to me it looks like some ancient boat that would be floating gently down a dark river. its very vehicular to me. glad you like this..i'm loving it!

Wood grain is great isn't it? It's never the same in any piece. That's what makes these so cool and interesting. You look and see something different each time.

my first impression was architectural skylines too...it looks fun -like you are really enjoying these pieces!

I see the boat, too, now that you mention it. Don't you love it, when you keep seeing something different every time you look at a piece of art?

Do you also carve? Eyes or faces in unusual places would be a drawing surprise.

i dont carve and that does seem like a natural next step doesn't it...for now i like that these are 'pure' its raw and simple beauty of the wood. i was tempted to draw or make them into totems but i realize i'm still just digging these being raw. i've been adding more metal here and there to some. somehow it feels more of a challenge to me not to do too much to them.
